Players evaluations will be held June 9 at Faith Baptist, Sellersville, PA. Please contact the Torch office for any additional information or with any questions. To register, please click on Academy Club under "FOR KIDS" and follow the instructions at the bottom of each page. Inidividual evaluation is available on a request basis.
The BuxMont Torch is pleased to announce the signing of Women's Assistant Coach, Laura Behnke, and Men's Head Coach, Daniel Byrd.
Laura is a graduate of Messiah College and is currently the Women's Head Soccer and Assistant AD at Philadelphia Biblical University. Daniel grew up in Zambia as a missioanry child and after graduating from Johnson (Bible College) University, played professionally with the Cleveland City Stars. He is currently an Assistant Men's Soccer at St. Catharine's College, Kentucky. More...
WPSL/WPS NEWS
Sacramento, CA (February 9, 2012) – In a move to support women's soccer in America, and as a prelude to planned growth of a professional league in 2013, the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) has announced the creation of a special WPSL Elite League for the 2012 season. The league will be based in the East Coast and Midwest and will include squads from Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) teams The Boston Breakers and The Western New York Flash. The move will allow professional female soccer players from the WPS teams to remain in top form as the WPS moves toward resuming play in 2013. Current WPSL teams, The Chicago Red Stars of the Midwest-North Division and FC Indiana of the Midwest-South Division, will participate in the WPSL Elite League. 2011 in Review
"The summer was filled with awesome memories. Jason and I still talk about how playing for the Torch has changed our lives in so many ways. I am so thankful that there are (ministries) out there such as the Torch that fuse the game of soccer with the love of Christ. When Keri, Jason and I talk about how our game has changed this past season, we always trace back our answers to something we learned this summer.
